Happy Christmas
“Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” was recorded in late October 1971 by John Lennon (former member of The Beatles) and his wife Yoko Ono as a protest song about Vietnam War. The lyrics are based on their anti-war campaign in 11 cities, including New York, Tokyo, Rome, Athens, Amsterdam, London and Toronto. Although this was a protest song, it has become Christmas standard and appeared on many Christmas albums.
